Orting Combined PTA
Orting Combined PTA (OCPTA) serves the students and staff at both Ptarmigan Ridge Elementary School and Orting Elementary School in Orting, Washington. We strive to ensure that every student thrives in Orting. Here’s a glimpse of some of the things we do to support this goal:

Raise funds to support staff and student needs.

Host free and discounted family events that promote social connections between families.

Provide college scholarships to Orting High School students.

Provide funding, supplies, and volunteer support for other student needs and school events.

Here's what OCPTA was able to provide during the '23-'24 school year:​

Over $17,000 raised from the Fall Fundraiser supporting field trips at both schools and PTA events.
-
Over $2,000 raised from the Holiday Bazaar supporting art programs at both schools.
-
Over $4,500 awarded in Teacher, Specialist, and Library/Technology grants, providing a variety of necessary supplies for students including noise cancelling headphones, additional musical instruments, and additional library and classroom books.

Free ice cream social event at Ptarmigan Ridge during Fall conferences.

Free refreshments for families on the first day of Kindergarten and at the Read Across Orting event.

Free social events like Movie Nights, Holiday Bazaar, Glow Dance, Bingo Night, Egg Dash, and End of Year Celebration.

Welcome kits for transfer students at both schools.

Funding for Taproot Theatre anti-bullying presentations at both schools.

Funding for Watch D.O.G.S. program at Orting Elementary.

Staff appreciation events at both schools.

Funding and volunteer support for Field Day, Kinder celebrations, and 5th grade celebration.

$1,000 awarded in college scholarships for OHS students.
